According to the company, single-view videos are not store on its servers after being open — not even the recipient is able to download the file in the app directly. This measure aims to prevent the material from leaking or being improperly access by third parties.

It seems kind of obvious, but this type of practice is consider illegal and may result in violation of WhatsApp terms and possible suspension of the messenger account.

- Keep your WhatsApp always up to date;
